About the G7 Summit

About the G7 Summit

The G7 (Group of Seven) Summit is an annual international conference attended by the leaders of seven countries - France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Italy, and Canada (in order of host country) - as well as the head of the European Union. This year, Japan will serve host country for the G7 summit in Hiroshima along with several G7 Ministers' Meetings across Japan. This marks the seventh time Japan has hosted the G7 summit.
During the G7 Summit, leaders of the G7 countries and the European Union gather to exchange opinions on important international issues such as the world economy, regional trends, and various global challenges, and the results of these discussions are compiled and published in a document. The G7 Summit has effectively addressed important international issues under the leadership of the G7 leaders.
